At NORTH LONDON IA
Local Group North London IA

Thank You !

We say goodbye and a massive thank you to Pat I’Anson and Sue Williams.  As most of you know, Pat was previously our secretary for many years and after stepping down from that position, she remained on the Committee as a Trustee.  Her family duties have increased, so she has decided to step down from the Committee.   As mentioned at our previous AGM, Sue has moved to Norfolk so is unable to attend our meetings.  We may have another stoma nurse taking Sue’s place, who is based out of North Middlesex Hospital.  We would like to thank both Pat and Sue for the support and commitment they have shown to the IA and to our members throughout the years they have been on the Committee.

Welcome

We have had a few new members join North London and we would like to say a big welcome to you.  We hope that you find our group a support and informative.

No More AGM’s……… BUT

We are now no longer required to hold an official AGM, following our merger with National Office.  So instead, we thought we could arrange a social with another local Charity, the Red Lion Group.  We contacted them and they thought it was a very good idea for us all to get together for a chat and for additional support.  Red Lion Group run their charity out of St Marks Hospital in Harrow. We are looking at holding the event there. We might be able to get some speakers too!  We will let you know in our next Newsletter of any arranged date.

Future Social Events

Saturday 8th of March between midday and 2pm at Tody Restaurant at Whitewebbs House, Whitewebbs Lane, Enfield, EN2 9HH.  Please let Julia know if you can attend, so we can book a space at the restaurant.  This is an opportunity to meet for a chat and it is up to you if you would like to buy a drink or a meal.  I can recommend the carvery!!

Reminder – New Standing Orders to be completed

As mentioned in our previous Newsletter, if you pay your membership by standing order, you will need to complete a new standing order form, so membership payments can be received by IA centrally.  New forms can be obtained from our National Office or can be downloaded from our membership page online – www.iasupport.org/membership/.  Once completed, please take into your bank to change your IA standing order. Membership is an annual subscription of £15 or for over 60s it is £10.  We believe National Office are now chasing up subscriptions.

Help needed for North London IA

We need your help.   Could anyone compile our quarterly Newsletter and organise any social events??  As you are all aware, Julia is working full time and with her family, she now no longer has time to fulfill the secretary duties.  We have been asking for a replacement for her for a long time now, but unfortunately nobody is available.   PLEASE can anyone help?  Thank you.
